I have focused on the detailed description, photographic record, and taxonomic and morphometric characterization of several palynological groups such as spores, pollen, and dinoflagellate cysts both fossil and recent. I have been interested in research topics that help improve the resolution and understanding of the response of tropical ecosystems to environmental changes. This experience has given me insights into the application of ecological and paleontological data to solve structural problems using quantitative statistical methods and GIS software. As well, this experience has provided me with the rigor of the scientific method to apply in solving different questions.
