Aura Maria Cuervo

Picture
My research interests encompass stomata-based proxies for paleoclimate and paleoaltitude, paleogeography and biogeochemical cycles. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you find identifiable fossil leaf cuticles in the Eastern Cordillera and/or Colombian lowlands, I would be happy to hear about your work and share ideas!

The other scientist in me synthesizes volcanic rocks in the lab, and develops calibrations to allow back-calculations of the redox state of the crystallization environment, according to the elemental preferences of two cool phosphates (apatite and merrillite). It will be applicable to terrestrial and extraterrestrial samples. Chemical diffusion enthusiast student.
