Not all environments generate the same challenges for an organism, and not all species respond in the same way to environmental changes. For this reason, my interest is to evaluate the stress responses in anurans that inhabit extreme environments or with different degrees of human intervention. My goal is to assess the consistency between stress responses and the effects on the organisms' fitness. This research will allow us to understand why some species are more sensitive than others to environmental changes and provide evidence on the usefulness of using physiological responses as a tool to determine the effects of anthropic activities on organisms.
